The Cost Of The Prophets Oil

 Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV)

“To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning…”

If you have walked through mourning seasons, you are not disqualified you are being prepared. Your ashes are not the end of your story. They are the evidence that oil is coming.

God allows the crushing because oil only flows from what has been pressed.

For years, you may have endured the pain of this crushing process, reaching a point where it felt nearly unbearable. The feeling of loneliness is genuine, but remember, God is with you every step of the way. I had to walk this out for years............

Many people want the oil…but few understand the crushing it takes to carry it.

Prophetic oil is not something you pick up in a moment it is something you are processed into.

It is expensive. It costs tears. It costs misunderstanding. It costs seasons where only God understands what you’re walking through. Because oil… always comes from crushing.

The Crushing Comes First

Before God trusts you with His voice, He allows life to press you.

Prophetic people don’t just hear God we are often shaped through pain, betrayal, disappointments, and deep spiritual battles. There are nights you cry and don’t even know why…It’s because God is pressing your vessel so your spirit can become sensitive enough to carry His heart. The truth is..... You cannot carry real oil without being broken first.

The Loneliness of the Call

One of the hardest parts of being prophetic is the isolation.

God will pull you away from people, places, and even relationships you once depended on not to hurt you, but to teach you that He alone is your source. There are seasons where you feel like no one understands. You feel different, You feel set apart, You feel like you don’t fit anywhere, your not invited. But that’s because prophetic oil is cultivated in the secret place not in crowds.

Misunderstood and Rejected

Prophetic people often see things others don’t see and speak things others aren’t ready to hear.

Because of that, we are frequently misunderstood, judged, and sometimes even rejected.

People may call you “too deep,” “too intense, ”or say you’re “doing too much.”

But what they don’t understand is you’re not trying to be different you’re responding to what God is showing you. And many times, rejection is simply confirmation that you’re walking in your assignment.

Spiritual Warfare is Real

Carrying prophetic oil attracts warfare.

The enemy fights prophetic voices because we expose darkness, discern spiritual attacks, and shift atmospheres. There are battles that prophetic people face that others don’t even realize exist. Sometimes the warfare isn’t external it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual exhaustion.

But the truth is: Greater oil always comes with greater resistance.

The Weight of Feeling Everything

Prophetic people feel deeply. We don’t just see.....we carry.

We carry the burdens of others, the pain of communities, and the weight of what God is revealing. Sometimes we don’t even realize how heavy it is until we’re alone with God, releasing it through tears and intercession. This is why prophetic people must stay close to God because only He can sustain the weight of the oil.

But Here’s the Reward…

Even though the oil is costly, it produces something beautiful.

It produces intimacy with God. It produces spiritual authority. It produces discernment. It produces the ability to heal, guide, and speak life into others. And most of all…

It produces a life that knows God in a way many never will.

The isolation was not rejection it was consecration, Because real oil isn’t given.... it is produced.
